Harry the coach came to the range of new Wilson racquets. There were racquets to suit various types of players, some to suit players requiring more power, others more spin, and there was one racquet with “shock absorbers” so effective for players with problematic elbow or wrist issues. Thanks to Tennis Ranch.

Our Association’s coach, Leo was on hand to provide some coaching on the day and he was impressive!

The new fun game introduced for the first time was captivating and challenging to members who participated. A continuous line was formed in no time with members coming back for more of the challenge that even the call for lunch took second place.

The lunch was organised by Doreen Fong and her team of helpers.

There were prizes for the target game and the usual round-robin, thanks to Peter who organised the prizes with his generosity and that of Tennis Ranch.

Members were given membership cards with their permanent member number. So all current members who were unable to attend are reminded they can collect their membership card when the Association’s regular tennis resumes on 20th January. The membership card enables members to discounted purchases from our sponsor. Members are required to produce this card for purchases and verification of their membership status.

To this end, the Association is also seeking amongst our members anyone who will like to maintain and keep a register of WWC compliant officials.

The Association has Tennis every Sunday from 1.00 pm at Meadowbank tennis courts until 5.30 at Meadowbank. [starting with Courts No.1 and 4, more courts are available as required on a needs basis]
